Psychological profile of rugby players: review study
Abstract
Physical, technical and tactical training is not enough to face a sport with rugby features. This is a physiologically and mentally tough sport, but not usually work on the psychological aspect with the players. This article provides a brief bibliographic review studies related to the psychology of rugby players is made. Among the most studied psychological variables discussed two that are present in both the player and in the same competition; mental toughness and stress. For this, the focus of attention is placed on two psychological constructs, such as mental toughness and stress control.
