Interface of the nutrition category with the field of public health and family health: an integrative review
Abstract
With the nutrition transition and the growth of chronic diseases directly associated with diet demonstrates a weakness in the field of public health and family health through restricted participation / inclusion of the nutritionist in the health care field. This study aims to demonstrate through an integrative review the national scientific production on the theme to establish practical gaps, strategies and reorientation potentials for services in the food and nutrition component. Data collection was performed using the Virtual Health Library (VHL), scientific articles published between 2005 and 2015 were included, obtaining a final sample of only 8 studies. The results demonstrate lack of studies of national character and two discursive categories: 'Education, Health and Nutrition' and 'Care interventions for the Nutritionist in Public Health and Family Health'. The results show the restricted field of action of the category, which has nevertheless been extended by the structure of the Family Health Support Centers. Disseminating successful experiences, strengthening health training for SUS and in SUS and addressing this issue in public policy, management meetings and permanent education across the whole network is suggested.
