Game Psychology: What Motivates People to Play
Abstract
There are various reasons that lead people to play online games. For some, it allows exercising brain functions, especially in games like poker and blackjack, improves logical thinking and quick decision making. On the other hand, it is a way of dealing with personal stress, because it allows you to put anxiety, depression and stress aside, even for a moment. In addition, the legal game promotes the local economy since it increases the income from the collection of taxes and some of that money is destined to works of common good. And finally the game allows you to entertain yourself, have a fun time alone or with friends.
