Ronaldo Nazario: The Soccer Phenomenon and his Legacy

Abstract

Ronaldo Nazario nicknamed "The Phenomenon", is one of the most influential and recognized soccer players in the history of world soccer. The player born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is remembered for his ability and skill on the field. He started at Cruzeiro Esporte Clube and due to his ability and talent, at the age of 16, he received an offer to play in Europe; he thus joined PSV Eindhoven. He then successively played for FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and AC Milan. He stood out as a goals corer, obtaining titles in the Spanish league and the UEFA Champions League with his teams. With the Brazilian team he won the 2002 FIFA World Cup, being the tournament's top scorer and named best player.
