Notes on gymnastics, eugenia and sport. Physical Education and the responsibilities of the present time
Abstract
This essay aims to discuss some bodily practices by showing their links to the specific contexts in which they were/are linked. In this sense, from the articulation between bibliographical discussion with some empirical data, it was possible to produce notes that deal with different historical periods, evidencing that from Eugenia to the present technological introjections, from the scientific gymnasium to the body system, Physical Education has contributed in favor of contextual movements, responding to the demands, some of them problematic from the ethical point of view. From this, there is a need to reflect on the current moment and how the Area has placed itself in front of what has been requested.
