Abstract

The arrival of a Messi is making a difference and can give soccer a leap in quality, as football is called in the United States. His presence is impacting the media, shops, merchandising sales and betting houses. The Argentine player arrives at a good moment in his football career, as he won the World Cup with his country in Qatar just a few months ago, and he seems determined to put all his effort into taking his new team, Inter Miami, to the highest in the next sporting commitments. At the same time, the presence of Messi, added to the fact that the World Cup is going to be held in the United States, can give a notable boost to Major League Soccer.
