Who Watches more Soccer: Men or Women?

  • Nilton Maneiro da Silva Independent

Abstract

Since its origin, soccer was seen as an eminently male sport. However, in recent decades women began to become interested in this sport. In Brazil, one of the reasons for this interest came from the performance of the women's team in the World Cup in France in 2019. The presence of women in soccer is becoming more and more common, whether as fans, referees, commentators, reporters, players, coaches and leaders.
