The Case of American Professional Sports in Mexico

Abstract

For decades, there has been a strong interaction between Mexico and the United States in the sports field. Currently, this link is becoming increasingly closer and the most prominent North American leagues such as the NBA, NFL, MLB and UFC see a huge market in Mexico. Events linked to these sports leagues could boost tourism and benefit the Mexican economy, in addition to promoting local culture and talent.
