Abstract

Technology is transforming sport, from athlete training to fan experience. In the preparation of the athlete, devices for monitoring and analysis and the application of virtual reality are used. In terms of global accessibility, live broadcasts allow access to sporting events from anywhere and all over the planet. The use of video provides greater precision in referee decisions in sports such as football, tennis and athletics. Technology is driving the growth of the sports industry, improving performance and the spectator experience. Its use is expected to continue growing in the future.
