Abstract

With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, interest in North American soccer stadiums has increased. This article highlights the 5 largest stadiums in this region, focusing primarily on their capacity to host soccer matches. Topping the list is Mexico’s Estadio Azteca, a historic venue that has hosted two World Cups. Other notable stadiums include Estadio Olímpico Universitario (home of Pumas UNAM), Estadio Jalisco (home of Chivas and Atlas), Estadio BBVA Bancomer (home of Monterrey Rayados), and Estadio Cuauhtémoc.
