Abstract

The Elf of La Rosalona: The Journey of the Olympics, takes us on a journey of self-discovery and revitalization of Olympism through the story of a goblin, the best player of a plateau called La Rosalona, in search of the Great Game that will take place in the unknown city of Olympolis. The journey begins with the discovery of an enigmatic invitation left by Baron Pierre in a boat more than a century ago. An animated ball and the narrator make up the Goblin's team. The adventures through the Sea of Detours, the Agora of Ludócrates and the School of Neoquijote lead them to understand the evils that affect today's sports Games and universal ethical principles. The final message recovers the importance of following our DREAMS, of RESPECT, FRIENDSHIP and EXCELLENCE in the Olympic journeys. With a simple but wise narrative, the author invites us to reflect on our own inner journey and to never give up on the original Coubertinian idea that the best of life is yet to come.
