The Impact of Hiking on Physical and Mental Health
A Practice Accessible for All Ages
Abstract
Hiking, more than a hobby, is a physically and emotionally beneficial lifestyle. Accessible and connected to nature, it improves cardiovascular health, strengthens muscles and joints, and helps with weight control. It also reduces stress, stimulates cognition, and enhances emotional well-being. Inclusive and educational, it relies responsibly on technology and promotes sustainable tourism, boosting local economies and nature conservation. Walking reconnects body and mind toward a more conscious and active life.
