Abstract

The aim of this research was to design and analyse the perception of a didactic unit of mindfulness in Physical Education class for primary school students. A qualitative methodology has been used through the analysis of the focus group instruments and the annotation notebook. the students. For the analysis of the information, the ATLAS.ti 6.0 program has been used. There were 5 sessions to a total of 129 students. The contents were based on the practical work of Rechtschaffen (2017) and Gonzalez and Rodrigues (2016): breathing, attention and mindfulness in movement. The exercises were adapted to the different age ranges. The results show how the didactic unit favors the relaxation, concentration, attention and body awareness of most students, although the need to adapt activities for students in the first cycle is confirmed.
