Abstract

Students with cerebral palsy are being inserted in regular school. In order for the inclusion process to be done effectively it is necessary that various adaptations occur in the school environment. Thus, this article aims to endorse the contributions of ergonomics in building an adapted school for students with cerebral palsy. The research design of the study was exploratory. Consultation was held in periodicals database: Scielo and Lilacs. The analyzed studies reported several considerations regarding the making of objects adapted for children with cerebral palsy. For example, the importance of avoiding chairs with seat pads, since postural stability cannot be guaranteed to the student. The manufacture of a chair adapted to benefit the student must be through pressure relief of the hip in the seat, avoiding pain, improving function of the upper limbs, not developing pressure ulcers and stabilizing the trunk. However, more studies on the subject is required, especially those made in our country (Brazil), considering the reality of our schools.
