Pesquisa no futebol feminino: antecedentes, avanços e horizontes futuros

Resumo

O futebol feminino experimentou um crescimento exponencial na última década. Patrocinadores e clubes finalmente tomaram a decisão de apostar no desenvolvimento de uma modalidade historicamente pouco valorizada. A última Copa do Mundo Feminina da FIFA França 2019 estabeleceu um recorde de audiência televisiva: 1,12 bilhão de pessoas estiveram conectadas a uma das 52 partidas disputadas neste campeonato. Em contrapartida, no campo das pesquisas, apenas 1 em cada 4 artigos publicados sobre futebol é baseado no futebol feminino. Este aspecto coloca um problema na hora de colocar em prática o conhecimento científico do futebol feminino. Portanto, o objetivo deste estudo foi analisar os artigos publicados sobre o futebol feminino, bem como estabelecer um guia de ação para os próximos anos. Embora os progressos tenham sido bons na última década, estáo9 o num ponto de viragem que poderá permitir que o conhecimento científico sobre o futebol feminino se desenvolva exponencialmente nos próximos anos, melhorando o desempenho coletivo e individual num futuro próximo.
