Methodology with equine-assisted therapy to develop basic motor skills in autistic students

Abstract

This investigation arises, for the necessity of facilitating to the professionals of the Physical Culture that work in the equine-assisted therapy center in Sancti Spiritus city. This is a methodological tool for the development of basic motive abilities in autistic scholars of the Special School "Efrain Alfonso Liriano" in the context of the equine-assisted therapy, using the horse like sociality agent in the pedagogic process. The scientific practice was developed during the academic courses from the 2015 up to the 2016. It was a space where it was preceded to the design of a methodology to favor the development of these abilities in these fellows, for their importance and the influence that it exercises on the integral educational attention to these scholars, the one that was valued through the approach of experts. By means of the method study of cases, the effectiveness of the methodology was valued for the development of these abilities in the autistic scholars and its influence was verified in the development areas: social, talkative and of behavior.
