The Importance of Recovery in High Performance Sports

Abstract

Recovery is a basic concept for high performance athletes. It depends on reducing the intensity and develops in a gradual and cumulative process. There are different methods that are used for recovery: active, passive and proactive. Among the most common procedures are stretching and hydration.
