Socio-educational measures and Physical Education: an analysis of the pedagogical proposal for young offenders

Abstract

This article aimed to discuss alternatives for the young offender of the CASA Foundation (Center for Socio-Educational Assistance to Adolescents) and the education process offered to this group of individuals through physical education. For that, the educational proposals associated to the young offender were analyzed, visualizing the different contexts. In addition, bibliographical research was carried out on a theoretical framework that was based on the socioeducative care directed at young offenders in the State of São Paulo. It was argued that the right of young people and how the state and society should guarantee these rights. Also emphasized the educational formation and the activities related to Physical Education. The understanding of this essay is that the model of proposals based on mechanisms of punishment should be rethought from a conception that broadens the world view of the young person about others and their future.
