Ecuadorian norms of sport detection-selection for initiation in the Olympic wrestling. 11-12 years

Abstract

Introduction: Olympic wrestling is a competitive sport requiring alternative tools for the detection of potential talents, being implemented in teaching-learning, specifically in athlete formative stage, promoting a development of already confirmed talents. Objective: To elaborate norms of detection and sport selection for initiation in Ecuadorian Olympic Fight between 11-12 years old. Methods: The population of Equator fighters in category 11-12 years is studied. The tests were carried out in different facilities of the Ecuadorian Federation, applying anthropometric and physical tests (7 tests), using percentiles to conform the standards (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90). Results: An average of 51.54% in cormic rate was observed, being Metro cormics with an average trunk. The arm stroke span of showed an average of 150 cm, and a minimum of 46.10%, obtaining a category of Brachial cormics with a short trunk. The span of arm stroke showed a minimum of 137 cm, between values of importance. Conclusions: Managed to create system of scales for the massive selection of Ecuador Olympic wrestling in ages 11-12 years, through the processed results, such as affection of the test application in the majority of country provinces.
