Análise do conceito de Do (Caminho) no estudo do karatê na sociedade contemporânea

Resumo

O presente trabalho de investigação-reflexão centrou-se na análise do conceito de Do na arte marcial do karatê e mais concretamente no estilo ou escola Shotokan, numa perspectiva axiológica e epistemológica, enquadrada numa visão do karatê enquanto caminhante a partir da análise da experiência, do componente cultural atual e do problema de motivação (categoria de valor objetivo) dos referidos caminhantes. Este trabalho foi realizado sob uma abordagem de pesquisa histórico-hermenêutica e pode-se concluir que o Karate Do cultiva e deve continuar cultivando a tradição de exercícios monásticos do budismo, iniciando e terminando com aulas de meditação em clima de disciplina, em estreita relação e vínculo entre mestre e discípulo, sendo este o objetivo deste trabalho reflexivo, analisar o conceito de Do (Caminho) no estudo do karatê no contexto social atual.
